Located in Fort Lauderdale, Stonewall National Museum Archives & Library is one of the leading archives in the United States dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting, and presenting LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) U.S. history. They collect, preserve, interrupt, and present LGBTQ culture from the last quarter of the 20th century to the present day. There are 28,000 volumes in the museum library and 2,700 linear feet—6 million pages—in its archives of LGBTQ history. Stonewall has long had extensive engagement with communities locally and across the country and world, including working with local community organizations and sending exhibitions to LGBTQ centers around the county.
